MCO Size Guide Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
MCO Size Guide (the “App”) is a Shopify app made by MCO WebLab, based in Puerto Rico (“we”, “us”). It lets merchants create size charts and show them on their product pages. This policy explains what information the App handles when a merchant installs and uses it.
Information we collect
When you install the App, Shopify gives us access to your store under the permission you approve. The App asks only to read and write products ("write_products"). It doesn't ask for access to customers, orders or checkouts.
We store:
-
Your store's identity: your store's
myshopify.comdomain and Shopify's store ID. - Access credentials that Shopify issues to the App for your store, so the App can work for you in the background (for example, keeping guides up to date when products change).
- Your size charts: chart names, garment types, sizes, measurements, units, drafts and published versions.
- Supplier files you import: the CSV file's name, size and contents, and the choices you made while importing.
- Product and collection information needed to show guides: the IDs and titles of products and collections you assign charts to, and of products that still have guides from before our records for your store were erased, with which guide fields they have.
- Your guide's appearance settings.
- Plan and billing status: your plan, trial and billing-cycle dates, and your store's product count. Shopify handles payment. We never see or store card or bank details.
- Technical records: background tasks, records of the webhooks Shopify sends us, and error logs. These identify your store by its domain.
Information we don't collect
- Your customers' personal information. The App doesn't read, store or process any information about your customers or their orders. Shopify may send us privacy requests about a customer; we confirm them and keep nothing from them, because we hold no customer data.
- Information about your store's visitors. The size guide on your product pages is shown from data stored in your Shopify store. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't track visitors and doesn't send anything to us.
- Store owner and staff details. Shopify's install screen says every app can access store owner information. The App doesn't read or store the names, emails or other details of the store owner or staff.
How we use information
Only to provide the App: to save and publish your size charts, show them on your products, keep them up to date, apply your plan, give you support, and keep the App secure and working. We don't sell information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except as described below.
Who we share it with
- Shopify, which hosts your store and handles installation and billing.
- Render, which runs the App's servers and database on our behalf, in the United States (Virginia).
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- While the App is installed, we keep your information so the App can work.
- Chart versions you publish are stored in your Shopify store. The App doesn't delete them, even when you delete the chart or remove its guide from products, so they stay there while the App is installed, including versions no product uses any more. The size guide block shows a version only on products that use it.
- When you uninstall, we delete the App's access credentials for your store and stop all background work.
- Shopify asks us to erase your store's data 48 hours after you uninstall. We then delete everything we hold on our servers for your store, normally at once and always within 30 days of Shopify's request.
- After erasure we keep only your store's domain, the dates you installed and uninstalled the App, and a record of when and how your data was erased. We keep this so that restoring one of our backups can never bring your erased data back. We also use it when you next use the App after the erasure, to look for guide data left in your store from before.
- Guide data the App stored in your Shopify store isn't part of the erasure above. After you uninstall, Shopify keeps that data for a time and removes it later, according to its own process and timing; Shopify doesn't guarantee how long. We can't remove it once the App is uninstalled. If you reinstall the App before Shopify removes it, Shopify can restore it, and guides you published earlier may become visible on your products again.
- Our hosting provider keeps server logs for up to 14 days.
Security
Access to your store uses credentials issued by Shopify, sent only over encrypted connections. Every request from Shopify is verified before the App acts on it, and each store can only reach its own data. Secrets are kept in our hosting provider's protected settings, never in our code.
Your choices and rights
While the App is installed, you can delete charts and remove guides from products in the App at any time, with one exception: if guides from before our records for your store were erased are still on your products (for example, because Shopify restored them when you reinstalled the App; see “How long we keep it”), the App doesn't manage those guides the way it manages guides you create. Contact us if this affects you. Deleting a chart or removing a guide doesn't delete the chart versions already published to your Shopify store (see “How long we keep it”).
Uninstalling the App starts the erasure described above. To ask about your data, request a copy, or ask for deletion before uninstalling, contact us at mcoweblab@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under data protection law; contact us to use them.
Changes
If we change how the App handles information, we'll update this policy and its date.
